Done well, it can be a powerful tool for reaching out and engaging with new supporters, as well as a solid source of long-term income. This hands-on course will help you develop the practical skills and knowledge needed to become an effective community fundraiser as well as build your confidence.
This course will help you understand how to work effectively with your volunteers and your team to ensure your community fundraising activities run smoothly and successfully. The skills you gain will assist you to contribute to a well-planned and professionally implemented community fundraising programme which can be critical to your organisation’s fundraising success and play a significant role in how your charity and cause are perceived.
About Your Trainer:
Gill Jolly BSc (Hons) FInstF(Dip) has a background in Psychology and over 30 years’ experience in the charity sector working as a fundraiser, manager, director and trainer of fundraisers and support teams with a wide variety of sizes and types of organisation. She runs her own consultancy and works with charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK and Europe providing a wide range of bespoke fundraising, training and management consultancy services including interim management roles. In addition, she speaks at international, national and regional conferences and also writes widely having recently completed part of a book on fundraising. Gill, who is from Lancashire, has worked with the IoF since 2000 developing training courses, delivering fundraisingâ€™s professional qualifications and leading courses on a wide range of fundraising topics.
